The TK U2 Late Bow is a high-carbon field hockey stick from the TK Sports Ultra range. It is made of 80% carbon, 10% fibreglass and 10% aramid and weighs around 510 g. The high carbon share gives a powerful hit, and the low weight makes the stick easy to handle.
Who it is for
TK aims the U2 at demanding players who want to combine hitting power with ball control. It suits a midfielder or forward who moves play forward at pace: lifting the ball, dribbling and beating defenders.
Late Bow profile
On a Late Bow the peak of the curve sits closer to the head than on a Control Bow, so it is easier to get under the ball and lift it. A slim shaft and head further help with lifting, and according to TK they also improve control and passing accuracy.
Construction
Carbon delivers the hitting power, aramid dampens vibration and fibreglass adds durability. TK builds this model with Japanese carbon, NPR (Nano Polymer Resin) to stiffen the structure, and the IDS vibration damping system.

According to TK the stick weighs 510 g (±10 g, UL weight class) with a balance point at 40 cm (±1 cm).
