The Osaka Proto Bow 70 is a 2026-season composite field hockey stick with a 65% carbon share (including an outer layer of Japanese Silver 3K carbon), 30% fibreglass and 5% Kevlar. The Proto Bow is an extreme low bow paired with an aggressive, slim profile – the most demanding silhouette in the Osaka range.

For advanced players specialised in 3D skills, drag-flicking and fast close ball carrying. The extreme low bow needs a controlled technique – it rewards lifts and drag-flicks at the cost of the simplicity of a flat hit.
Construction and specifications
The Proto Bow is an extreme low bow with a 24 mm bow depth, the apex around 200 mm from the head, on a very aggressive, slimmed-down silhouette built for speed and control. The outer Silver 3K carbon layer improves the stiffness-to-weight ratio. The low bow and slim profile together give fast ball contact on lifts.
