The weekend of 17–18 October in Polish hockey – Superliga, I liga and junior results
The third October weekend on grass brought four Superliga matches, five I liga games, girls' and boys' junior matches and two women's matches. All the results below come from the summary “Za nami weekend z hokejem (17-18.10.2026 r.)” published by the Polish Field Hockey Association (PZHT). The report gives the pairings and scores, without scorers, line-ups or the venues where the matches were played, so we do not add that information. A description of the leagues and clubs in which these teams play can be found in our post on Polish leagues, clubs and the 100th anniversary of PZHT.

This time Pomorzanin won in regulation time, and KS Warta Poznań won its match for the second weekend in a row. We do not give a table, because the association's report does not include one.

The match between LKS Rogowo and LKS Gąsawa was postponed. The report does not give a new date, so it is worth keeping an eye on the fixture list on the association's website.
This summary also included a women's section, which was not in the report for the previous weekend. UKS SP5 Swarek Swarzędz beat AZS Politechnika Poznańska II 4:1, and AZS Politechnika Poznańska beat KS Hokej Start Brzeziny 2:0. UKS SP5 Swarek Swarzędz teams won in three competitions this weekend: in I liga after a shoot-out, in the junior girls' and in the women's competition.
In total, shoot-outs decided three matches: two in the Superliga and one in I liga. How the procedure works and how it can be practised in training is described in our post on how a shoot-out works and how to train for it.
What comes next
The autumn round on grass continues. The Polish Field Hockey Association publishes fixtures, results and information about postponed matches on an ongoing basis, and live scores are available on the Superliga website, to which the report refers. It is worth checking match times and venues before setting off, as they can change, as this weekend's postponed junior boys' match showed.
The second half of October brings colder mornings and evenings, and on match day a fair amount of time is spent away from the play itself: in the warm-up, on the bench and at half-time. At those moments an extra layer that is easy to take off before stepping onto the pitch comes in handy. How to choose layers, gloves and socks for training at this time of year is described in our post on autumn training clothing.
