It is made of 30% carbon, 60% fibreglass and 10% aramid. That is more carbon than in the P5 and P6, yet still little enough for the stick to keep a good feel for the ball.

Who it is for

TK aims the P4 at players of every level who mix a classic game with more dynamic skills. It pays off most for a club player who has the basics and is starting to lift the ball, flick and dribble faster. Players still learning to receive the ball will find a Control Bow stick easier.

Late Bow profile

The bow is 24 mm deep and peaks 220 mm from the head. The closer the peak sits to the head, the easier it is to get under the ball and lift it, which helps with flicks, aerial passes and 3D dribbling. The trade-off is slightly harder flat receiving than with a Control Bow, which peaks 240 mm from the head.

Construction

The lower shaft has a recessed playing surface, so the ball stays closer to the stick when carrying and flicking. A slim shaft and head make lifting easier. Fibreglass brings flexibility and feel, while aramid dampens vibration and adds durability. TK builds this model with Japanese carbon and NPR (Nano Polymer Resin), which stiffens the structure without losing touch.

Weight and balance

According to TK the stick weighs 530 g (±10 g, L weight class) with a balance point at 40 cm (±1 cm). The shorter 34″ and 35″ sticks may weigh less.

Length

In stock in 34″, 35″, 36.5″ and 37.5″. Choose the length to suit the player’s height.

TK P4 Late Bow field hockey stick – 30% carbon, 60% fibreglass, 10% aramid.
