All the results below come from the summary “Za nami weekend z hokejem (17-18.10.2026 r.)” published by the Polish Field Hockey Association (PZHT). The report gives the pairings and scores, without scorers, line-ups or the venues where the matches were played, so we do not add that information. A description of the leagues and clubs in which these teams play can be found in our post on Polish leagues, clubs and the 100th anniversary of PZHT.

Superliga: two matches decided by shoot-outs

Four matches were played in the men's top division:

LKS Gąsawa – KS Stella Gniezno 3:3 (shoot-out 1:3)

ABEX Rekreacja HKS Siemianowiczanka – AZS Politechnika Poznańska 2:2 (shoot-out 3:1)

HK Pomorzanin Toruń – ENEA AZS AWF Poznań 3:1

KS Warta Poznań – WKS Grunwald Poznań 5:3

Half of the matches in this round ended level in regulation time. LKS Gąsawa and KS Stella Gniezno drew 3:3, and Stella won the shoot-out 3:1. ABEX Rekreacja HKS Siemianowiczanka and AZS Politechnika Poznańska drew 2:2, and Siemianowiczanka won the shoot-out, also 3:1. HK Pomorzanin Toruń beat ENEA AZS AWF Poznań 3:1, and in the Poznań derby KS Warta Poznań beat WKS Grunwald Poznań 5:3. A total of 22 goals were scored in regulation time across the four matches.

For comparison, on the weekend of 10–11 October, according to the PZHT summary of that round, LKS Gąsawa lost 1:2 to KS Warta Poznań, and HK Pomorzanin Toruń drew 3:3 with WKS Grunwald Poznań and lost the shoot-out. This time Pomorzanin won in regulation time, and KS Warta Poznań won its match for the second weekend in a row. We do not give a table, because the association's report does not include one.

I liga: five matches and 44 goals

Match

Result

HK Pomorzanin Toruń II – Phoenix Wrocław

2:6

Warsaw Hockey Club – UKS SP5 Swarek Swarzędz

2:2 (shoot-out 0:3)

LKS Rogowo – KS Polonia Skierniewice

8:2

UKH Start 1954 Gniezno – MKS Środa Wielkopolska

11:1

HK Lipno Stęszew – UKS Ósemka Tarnowskie Góry

7:3

Clearly more goals were scored in I liga than in the Superliga: 44 in five matches. The biggest win of this round went to UKH Start 1954 Gniezno, who beat MKS Środa Wielkopolska 11:1. LKS Rogowo beat KS Polonia Skierniewice 8:2, HK Lipno Stęszew beat UKS Ósemka Tarnowskie Góry 7:3, and Phoenix Wrocław beat HK Pomorzanin Toruń II 6:2. The only draw was 2:2 between Warsaw Hockey Club and UKS SP5 Swarek Swarzędz, after which Swarzędz won the shoot-out 3:0.

Girls' juniors, boys' juniors and senior women

Results from the other competitions, in the order PZHT gives them:

Girls' juniors

UKS Orient II Łozina – AZS Politechnika Poznańska 0:6

LKS Gąsawa – UKS SP5 Swarek Swarzędz 1:2

Boys' juniors

LKS Rogowo – LKS Gąsawa – match postponed

KS Warta Poznań – KS AZS AWF Poznań 3:2

KS Stella Gniezno – UKH Start 1954 Gniezno 4:3

Senior women

AZS Politechnika Poznańska II – UKS SP5 Swarek Swarzędz 1:4

AZS Politechnika Poznańska – KS Hokej Start Brzeziny 2:0

In the junior girls' competition, AZS Politechnika Poznańska beat UKS Orient II Łozina 6:0, and UKS SP5 Swarek Swarzędz beat LKS Gąsawa 2:1. In the junior boys' competition, both matches played were decided by one goal: KS Warta Poznań beat KS AZS AWF Poznań 3:2, and KS Stella Gniezno beat UKH Start 1954 Gniezno 4:3. The match between LKS Rogowo and LKS Gąsawa was postponed. The report does not give a new date, so it is worth keeping an eye on the fixture list on the association's website.

This summary also included a women's section, which was not in the report for the previous weekend. UKS SP5 Swarek Swarzędz beat AZS Politechnika Poznańska II 4:1, and AZS Politechnika Poznańska beat KS Hokej Start Brzeziny 2:0. UKS SP5 Swarek Swarzędz teams won in three competitions this weekend: in I liga after a shoot-out, in the junior girls' and in the women's competition.

In total, shoot-outs decided three matches: two in the Superliga and one in I liga. How the procedure works and how it can be practised in training is described in our post on how a shoot-out works and how to train for it.

What comes next

The autumn round on grass continues. The Polish Field Hockey Association publishes fixtures, results and information about postponed matches on an ongoing basis, and live scores are available on the Superliga website, to which the report refers. It is worth checking match times and venues before setting off, as they can change, as this weekend's postponed junior boys' match showed.

The second half of October brings colder mornings and evenings, and on match day a fair amount of time is spent away from the play itself: in the warm-up, on the bench and at half-time. At those moments an extra layer that is easy to take off before stepping onto the pitch comes in handy. How to choose layers, gloves and socks for training at this time of year is described in our post on autumn training clothing.

If you are looking for clothing for training or matches before the next games, browse our clothing category.

Results from 17–18 October: four Superliga games, five I liga matches, junior girls, junior boys and women.
